We all like to look ahead. That is where we are going. However, sometimes it is good to reflect on what has been. Now that 2019 is almost behind us and 2020 is just around the corner, this is the perfect opportunity to look back at all the beautiful, special and great moments we have experienced. We can definitely say that it was a Fraencktastic year.

It was quite a year for us. We have taken many new steps, faced many challenges, entered into new collaborations and significantly expanded the number of apprenticeships. This allows us to do what we do, among other things: offer people a chance to develop themselves professionally and personally. We are extremely proud of the fact that we have achieved this in the past year. By offering people a relaxed workplace at Fraenck, we hope to speed up the process of finding a real job.

Special moments

Another moment that is etched in Fraenck's memory is the nomination for the Best Green Handbag at the Handbag Awards. Pascal and Ratna travelled to 'the city that never sleeps' New York. The experience was more than they had dreamed of. Besides that, the founders of Fraenck were also asked to participate in Hip voor Nop - a TV programme on Dutch TV.

Apart from these beautiful moments, there is one that really touched the hearts of Pascal and Ratna. They had the opportunity to offer employee Mo a contract. This ensured that he could continue working at Fraenck for a longer
period of time. This is made possible by the funds that support us - the Rabobank Foundation, Stichting DOEN and OostNL.

Challenges

Last year was not only characterised by wonderful events, but Fraenck also faced challenges. Questions such as: what is the most important source of income for Fraenck? And where should we focus our efforts? Putting Pascal and Ratna's line of bags on the map is quite a challenge. Especially in view of the competition and saturation of the market. By focusing on business-to-business, however, they gained more stability in sales. In the coming year, they will continue to do so tirelessly.

New year, new opportunities

When the clock strikes 00:00 on 31 December, we can say with great pride that we have done it together. We toast to a fantastic end and a new year, because we can already reveal one thing. Soon we can be seen at Koffietijd/ 5 uur live! A good start is half the work, so in 2020 we will continue tirelessly to put Fraenck even further in the spotlight. In 2020, we will increase our social and sustainable impact even further and we will also expand the number of learning trajectories. We want to make great strides and we are happy to take you along with us.
